Bakersfield Coupe

The Eagle Field Drags is a long-running vintage drag racing event in the dusky central valley of California that draws some of the coolest old iron in the west to a laidback airport for a weekend of tire smoke and timeslips. When I attended I had one eye on shooting the drags and another on finding some of the raddest cars in attendance to shoot. This fenderless ’32 coupe drew my eye from across the airstrip and I had to arrange some one-on-one time!
